CH2M Hill To Create 500 UK Jobs

CH2M HILL has said that it will be creating 500 new jobs across the UK in a range of skilled engineering roles.

Colorado-based CH2M HILL has been operating in the UK for over 20 years and acquired the British engineering firm Halcrow in November 2011, increasing its footprint in its international market outside of the USA. It currently employs over 3,300 people in the UK and has its European Headquarters in London.

Alongside these new jobs, CH2M HILL will also be creating 40 graduate-level positions, as well as offering 30 apprenticeships and 30 paid internships bringing its total investment for the UK for 2013 to £65m.

The new jobs will be created across CH2M HILL’s infrastructure divisions including nuclear; transportation, tunneling and earth engineering; water; environmental services and industrial and advanced technology.

The company is working on UK projects including High Speed 2, Crossrail, Thames Tideway Improvements and the decommissioning of Dounreay. It was also part of CLM, delivery partner to the Olympic Delivery Authority for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Today’s announcement supports our aim of ensuring that the UK can compete with other economies at the highest level by raising the numbers of skilled engineers.”
