CISCO Chief : I Am A Huge Believer In Immigration

Supporting India's move to raise the issue of visa fee hike at World Trade Organisation, Cisco Chief John Chambers said that the election time in the United States is emotional, and one has to remain with a great patience till the resolution passed on the issues.

Mr. Chamber considered India's decision as logical as it makes Indian industry less competitive at global level. He also said that he is a huge believer in Immigration and believes in bringing more talent around the world.

In the month of early March 2016, Indian Government has lodged a complaint against the US Government's decision to increase the visa fees of H1B and L1 visa categories. Indian software professionals are the largest beneficiaries of the skilled visas. US Immigration will start accepting applications for H-1B Visas from April 1, 2016. But Till now there is no significant announcement from the US Government.

Annually USA grants 65,000 H1B visas to the foreign nationals to work in the country. Indians take the maximum share of the H1B visas, whereas Mexicans and Chinese follow Indians. Indian tech firms are the largest software exporters to the US.

The US can't deny the progressive Indians contribution to the United States. They make an excellent contribution to the US economy by paying taxes and spending in the country. It is the high time of elections, the emotions are outpouring, and the political speeches are targeting responsible immigrants.

According to the Indian IT industry body Nasscom's study on the visa fee hike, the new visa policy would raise annual funds of $ 1.4 billion in the United States. This visa fee hike imposes a substantial financial burden to Indian Industries.

To resolve the issue amicably Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with the US President Barack Obama, but, no significant change reflected the increase the visa fee.
