City State Of Cocktail Millionaires

Singapore is a city state of millionaires and odd billionaire as well. So much so, there's a joke doing the rounds here. You throw a bottle into the air in any of Singapore's streets, it is bound to hit a millionaire before bouncing off his head. Whether the bottle will hit the head or not, some of the millionaires are known to be hitting the bottle, splurging their high interest money on such fancy stuff as Jewel of Pangaea coktail, which is said to cost a whopping $28,000 (all American and not Singaporean) for one large.

A report by Boston Consulting Group says Singapore registered 188,000 millionaires in 2011. That’s 17% of all city state residents, or one in six homes. A contradiction, however, is it is not most expensive city in the world but ranks as the sixth most expensive, as rated by Economist Intelligence Unit.

Its millionaires' lifestyles make one quite heady. But hold on! Whether the costly cocktails are had by Singapore millionaires or the visitors from elsewhere in the world is not known. Indeed some of the coktails are diamond studded. Obviously, those drinking the cocktails do not have the 1-carat diamond in the cocktail but comes on a platter along with the drink. Otherwise, the diamond quality is such that only a diamond can cut another. There's no saying what damage a diamond can do in the entrails.
