Decision Pending On Implementation Of Visa Bond: UK

The UK has clarified that a final decision on the cash bond of Rs 2.75 lakh for acquiring British visa is yet to be taken and they intend to run a pilot scheme before final implementation. The news has come after huge protests from Indian came on the proposed move.

UK Immigration clarifies that the proposition was one of the suggestion to crackdown on immigration abuse.

India’s  Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma had opposed and raised the issue in his meetings in London with Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Oliver Letwin, Minister for Government policy in Cabinet office and Gregory Barker, Minister in charge for business engagement with India.
