Denmark Political Agreement For International Recruitment

The Danish Government and Liberal Party, Danish people’s party, Socialist People’s Party, Liberal Alliance, the Conservative Party have achieved political agreement concerning changes to international recruitment which will make Denmark enterprises to have easy access to highly skilled labor from non EU/ EEA countries.

According to the new agreement, the Green card scheme will be focused to support enterprises in a better way for recruiting highly qualified labor. In the coming times, educational level will be more focused and the points system will be modified and regulated to equal the demands of the Danish labor market.

Besides, fast track scheme will be initiated for Danish enterprises along with foreign enterprises branches located in Denmark, which will be aimed at huge enterprises with demand for highly qualified labor. Both public as well as public sector enterprises along with universities can avail this scheme. Enterprises have to be certified in order to avail this scheme.

As well, a new scheme called Start-up Denmark will be initiated as a pilot project for three years, which is indented for entrepreneurs coming from third countries who hope to establish a business in Denmark. Moreover, this scheme can be used people forming as two different groups to establish a business jointly.

Furthermore, international students will be able to acquire establishment card upon completion of Danish MA or PhD degree. In addition, with current rules for foreign researchers at present being more flexible, they will be provided easier and simpler access to Denmark.

The other focused areas of the agreement include stays for other paid work and agricultural intern scheme. Moreover, limitations have been set for entitlement of foreign graduates for jobless benefits on graduate terms.
