Details Of Yukon's New Express Entry System Revealed

 The Canadian territory, Yukon has announced the new Express Entry system of its Nominee Program. The new system will be in line with the Federal Express Entry selection system.

The YNP Express Entry category raises the total allocation for the YNP from 190 to 250, with 60 of these slots can be used in association with the Federal Express Entry stream. The employers who are unable to find a citizen or permanent resident to fill the available vacancies can now have access to the Federal Express Entry’s pool of candidates.

YNP applicants will get picked from the pool depending on the nominations issuing from permanent full-time work from prospective employers. Interested candidates should satisfy the criteria of any of the economic programs such as Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker, and Federal Skilled Trades to enter the pool.

Reportedly, in order to qualify for these programs, candidates are required to satisfy the language & educational criteria and hold adequate funds to support themselves and their dependents during their stay in the country.

It requires mentioning here that the new system will facilitate the immigration process for skilled professionals, and help them to become permanent residents at a faster pace. It also offers a new way for employers to recruit overseas workers. All the nominated candidates will get extra points under the Comprehensive Ranking System, resulting an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

Yukon’s Minister of Education, Doug Graham stated that the inclusion of the Express Entry system to prevailing Yukon Nominee stream will assist employers to recruit the international skilled workers. Further, he added that the government is set to bolster the territory’s skilled workforce, and the new stream will accomplish the goal by providing employers more flexibility.

•    Prospective employer will find a suitable international worker

•    Employers will offer a job to a candidate after proving that there is no Canadian citizen or permanent resident readily available to plug the skill gap

•    Employees should satisfy the criteria of at least one of the economic programs

•    Workers should complete an online application in Citizenship Immigration Canada's Express Entry stream and enter the pool. Later on, he/she will get an Express Entry Profile Number and if suitable, a Job Seeker Validation Code  

•    Workers need to prove they hold adequate funds

•    Both employer and worker should complete and present the Yukon Express Entry application form together

•    Workers will receive an invitation from CIC to file an application for permanent residency, where they need to submit all the required documents. The CIC and Yukon's Immigration Unit will verify documents.

•    Employees will be able to get permanent residency within six months upon submission of complete application
