Federal Skilled Worker Class applicants received 53% of all Invitations to apply announced under the Federal Express Entry system in the last year 2018 or 47,523 out of 89,800 ITAs.
The Federal Skilled Worker Class also identified as the Federal Skilled Worker Program, which is a points-based program by which skilled workers from around the globe and along with their families may immigrate to Canada immediately.
The immigrating process to Canada as a skilled federal worker may be counted in two steps. First, applicants are evaluated as per the F.S.W points system. You need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 points on this grid to be eligible.
If qualified, you may build a profile in Express Entry and access the Express Entry pool, where you are given a points total below the Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S.) and ranked upon other applicants in the pool. Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (I.R.C.C) conduct draws from the pool of Express Entry, where the top-scoring candidates will each be given an invitation to apply (I.T.A.). With an I.T.A., you have 60 days to submit a comprehensive application for PR.
The Federal Skilled Worker Class is one among the three federal economic immigration programs associated with Express Entry, and the other two bring the Canadian Experience Class (C.E.C.) and the Federal Skilled Trades Class (F.S.T.C).
For applicants, without experience in a trades profession and minimum, one-year skilled work experience in Canada, the Federal Skilled Worker Class continues the only Express Entry program possible.
It should be seen that 10,802 invited applicants in 2018 were provincial nominees; that is to say, a province or territory nominated them under an Express Entry-associated Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream. Such a nomination results in an extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S.) points, efficiently guaranteeing an I.T.A. soon after.
Provincial nominees must be eligible below one of the F.S.W, F.S.T., or C.E.C. programs to enter the pool in the front place. Therefore, the actual share of FSW-eligible applicants invited may be even greater than 53%.
The details in this article are from the 2018 year-end Express Entry report, which was announced by Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (I.R.C.C) in early July 2019.
