France To Issue Visas Within 48 Hours For Indian Tourists From January 2015

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development of France, H.E Laurent Fabius, has announced the issuance of visas for Indians in less than 48 hours with effect from 01 Jan 2015.

Additionally, another announcement was also made concerned with the introduction of a free app referred to as ‘Chalo Paris’ for the Indian market in September 2014, which is intended to improve the experience of travelers.

France welcomes 83 million tourists yearly and is designated as the top tourist destination in the world. Government of France has decided on attracting 100 million tourists yearly.

Asia contributes to rise in foreign tourists in France, which even includes increasing number of tourists from India. The nation welcomes approximately 3, 00,000 visitors from India yearly. France government also plans to open new Visa Application Centers through VFS Global all over India beginning with Kochi soon.
