As per latest survey, 70% Germans said immigration made it easier for international firms to invest in Germany, while 62 percent said immigration eases the effects of Germany's ageing society. More than 50% of Germans are of the opinion that immigration is an effective means to close the country's skilled shortage gap.

Most of them favoured the idea of easing naturalization procedures, allowing dual citizenship, and also to toughen anti-discrimination laws.
