H1B Visa Holders Crucial For American Economy

America’s leading industries have progressed with the specialized talent of the professionals who worked in their industries. Since 1996 immigrants have started, new businesses created opportunities to the local citizens and workers who entered United States with H1B visas.

United States of America has introduced a new visa fee hike for H1B and L1 visa categories in the month of December 2015. Applications intake for both the visa categories will start from April 1, 2016. The increased visa fee hike will burden Indian IT sector with $400 million. 

India has complained against the United States for the visa fee hike at the World Trade Organization. The United States has called India for a meeting on the issue in the month of April. As the application process intake is about to start soon, there is no significant announcement from the United States Government.

H1B visas are crucial to the US technology industry; annually the US grants 65000 visas to the professionals willing to settle in the country.

United States has primarily benefitted out of the H1B Visa holders who work for the US companies. Silicon Valley has witnessed the growth of many businesses with the help of H1B visa holders.

Most of the Americans are oblivious to the fact that, the immigrants shaped the growth of the United States. The role of immigration in the US economic system is imperative and from the early 18th and 19th century when industrial era was booming in the United States, it is the migrant workers who filled the skill Gap. 

Despite the enormous contribution from the immigrant workers, few people do not recognize their importance and hardworking nature.
