Cabinet ministers Morten Ostergaard (Radikale), Christine Antorini (Socialdemokraterne) and Pia Olsen Dyhr (Socialistisk Folkeparti) have proposed changes and improvements in courses offered by Danish Universities. An increase in programs in English will bring an influx of foreign students and investments to Denmark; boosting Danish economy.
Pia Olsen Dyhr also highlighted the cases of New Zealand and Australia. These two countries earn billions by giving English training programs.
The ministers urged Government to create parallel programs to be taught in English, without affecting the Danish courses. They also stressed on the fact that Danish students also can profit from these programs and be at par as per other country students.
Government is planning to grant foreign students green cards after their completion of 3 year university education programs. This will allow them to reside extra 3 years to search job.
