The United Kingdom home secretary Theresa May has entered into a pact with Ireland, which is aimed at strengthening the common travel area (CTA).
The dignitaries of both these countries, after inking the deal, have spoken to the media as to how this Memorandum of Understanding would be enabling UK and Ireland in exchanging the required data sharing.
Elucidating further about MoU, May has said that this deal would even help them to allow Indian and Chinese nationals even more easily on various travel visas, without compromising on the security matters.
She has even mentioned that the first visa scheme that would be benefitted with this new deal would be British-Irish visa scheme. Meanwhile, other party to the agreement, Ireland minister for justice and equality, Frances Fitzgerald has said that they expect British-Irish visa scheme to boost the tourism for UK and Ireland.
The immigration experts in Asia have opined that Indians and Chinese would apparently be able to get visit visas to these countries without any hiccups.
