The Indian Government expressed positive outcome from the United States over the Visa fee hike on H1B and L1 Visas. The proceedings at the world Trade Organization will favor India as the US violated the General Agreement on Trade.
India believed in constructive engagement with the United States, as the visa fee hike severely affects the Indian companies. The Visa categories, allow the companies to make the intra-company transfers based on the requirement. The H1B visas are the temporary non-immigrant visas granted to the professionals to work in the US firms.
The Indian software suppliers largely use these two visas; both the countries have an agreement on trade. Both the countries are benefiting mutually through the software services. Indians contribution to the United States is constructive, over 60 percent of the software exports is from India.
The trade services pact between both the countries creates a vast number of employment opportunities for the youngsters in both countries. The Indian companies in the United States employ 44000 US nationals.
In the month of the March, Indian Government has lodged a complaint against the United States regarding the visa fee hike. The World Trade Organization has set up a panel to conduct proceedings on the issue. However, the group will take six months time to submit a complete report on the matter.
India is optimistic about its stand preparing its lawyers to put the points Affectively in the world trade organization.
