Indian And China Immigrants Becoming Citizens Of US At A High Rate

It was the first time that the sum of immigrants from India and China who are migrating to the United States has crossed the sum of immigrants migrating from Mexico. It is a shift which is historic and has captured the attention of the providers of service all over the country who are working in order to help the migrants to become citizens of the US.

The senior policy researcher at migration Policy institute Jeanne Batalova stated in a local press call to the reporters on Wednesday that in the current immigration they saw an immense change. In the collaboration with national immigration forum and new America media, through New American campaign there was a call hosted.

Recently in the year 2013, there are about 1.2 million immigrants who have moved to the United States, there were about 147,000 who came from China, which is the origin leading nation, 129,000 immigrants who were from India and Mexico immigrants about 125,000.

It is the fact that China does not offer the dual citizenship, whereas the Philippines and South Korea have already made changes to their requirements of dual citizenship. 

The benefits of the US citizenship may be attractive for those who have no access to the dual citizenship, which includes the protection and security from the ability to travel freely, deportation, right to run and vote for political office and the sponsor’s ability for the broad range members of the family for the United States immigration.

It was said by Diep that the citizenship is a key factor for Asian American community allowing them to turn into the more combined in America.

Last year a report was released by Asian American studies center UCLA that the sum of officials of Asian American public has reached the levels of history which is above 4000 Asian Americans who are holding federal government and the public office around 39 states.
