Indian Government is planning to do every possible action to help students from the impact of closure of business school in London campus.
The official spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairssaid, "It is understood that the UK authorities have ordered the closure of the London Campus of TASMAC School of Business on 6th Oct 2011. Our High Commission is monitoring the situation closely and would strive to ensure that students are not adversely affected. It is estimated that about 200 Indian students were enrolled with the school."
He said, TASMAC has business schools at Kolkata and Bangaluru and the Campus in London was initiated in the year 2004. He also said, UK’s attempt to stiffen the norms of the Tier-4 student visas has resulted in the shutdown of BA (Hons) and MBA degree campus.
The spokesperson said, "Our High Commission in London (HCI) has established immediate contact with TASMAC, which has conveyed that it is working with the University of Wales to transfer the students to other educational institutions so that their studies are not disrupted."
He said, Human Computer Interaction [HCI] was cited in the website so that the victim Indian students can contact the Mission for any type of Assistance. HCI official have visited the Campus of TASMAC London to have a meeting with UK Border Agency. The meeting will be commenced soon.
