THE IT sector got another jobs boost last week as a property software provider, a gaming company and an IT security firm sought staff.
The new jobs coincide recent reports from the IDA and Enterprise Ireland of significant job growth in our IT industry.
Digital gaming
Gaming developer Digit Games has confirmed 25 positions in Dublin. The firm, founded three years ago by games industry veterans, has doubled its workforce after a $2.5m investment.
“This latest funding round will help accelerate Digit in its goal of new cross platform technology and awesome games,” said CEO Richard Barnwell.
Sales
FMI Ireland will create 24 jobs in Dundrum as it expands into specialist Telesales. The sales company currently employs 34 permanent staff in its outbound sales centre in Dublin South.
“Being the best in the business is what drives us – that’s why we’ve doubled in size since 2007,” explained MD Charley Stony.
Security
IT Security firm Espion announced 15 new jobs after a 40pc growth in the company last year. Areas include sales, technical, research and business support.
“We are delighted to be in the position to recruit new consultants to support our international expansion.” MD Colman Morrissey said.
Kerry will welcome 20 new positions by a property solutions provider within the development; project management; business analyst and QA teams.
Aspen Solutions hopes to finish recruitment by the end of the year.
“These new positions are to support our continuing growth and expansion in global markets,” CEO Sean Ryan said.
