July 1 is when the Australian government sets quotas and planning levels for positions in skilled migration(Australia Immigration) and state sponsorship, Immigration experts shares, coming few months will see various significant changes in immigration.
Most visa classes fee will rise by 5.4 percent starting from July 1. Below are the list of changes observed in 2019.
Visa fees for the Visitor (subclass 600) visa and Contributory Parent (subclass 143) visa will continue the same.
According to Immigration experts, the points test system will modify starting in Nov 2019.
Some of the modifications to the system comprise of giving extra points to the applicants; including, single applicants, partners who have excellent English skills and candidates that are sponsored by a relative in the regional area or state government.
The partner visas processing will take longer time than previous. A procedural move will occur where the Australian partner needs to be approved to sponsor their de facto partner or spouse. You will no longer lodge a partner visa quickly until your Australian sponsor has had their character or criminal history evaluated.
The Designated Area Migration Agreements (D.A.M.A) enables organizations from specific regions to sponsor individuals who are not necessarily on the occupations list of Australia. Migrants will be provided with a temporary visa, which could potentially drive to Australian permanent residency.
Professions under a D.A.M.A typically have concessions or exceptions such as less English score, no need for a skills evaluation or work experience. The below regions are qualified for DAMA: Far North Queensland, Northern Territory, Goldfields, Pilbara, Orana, South Australia, and Warrnambool.
Employers can send in their interest in engaging in the program that starts on July 1.
Immigration Experts says, currently, with these developments, Australian immigration has become stricter. Skilled immigrants are going to remain being in demand, especially those specialists such as engineering, IT, nursing, and social welfare. There's also a more significant push for individuals to move to Australian regional areas because of the existing high competition in places like Sydney and Melbourne.
