London Olympics Brings Billions Of Pounds Of Investments And Creates Jobs

Global Investment Conference held at British Business Embassy, Lancaster House during the Olympic and Paralympics Games opened the path for foreign companies to invest in UK. UK is holding 18 business summits in London for various business sectors to showcase the capabilities and benefits of investing in UK.

Industry leaders from various countries announced investments in London and other parts of UK during the summit.

• Battersea Power Station to invest £8 billion and expects to create 33,000 jobs.
• Inward investments from various companies to create and provide security for around 50,000 jobs.
• UK predicts over £1 billion worth of deals and projects by summer.
• Jaguar Land Rover expands its Castle Bromwich plant creating 1,100 new jobs.
• Over £25 billion of new investment expected across the renewable energy sector and the jobs in this sector to rise.

All the business summits planned in London during the ongoing Olympics is expected to get visit from around 4,000 UK and international business delegates. With the industry leaders meeting, it is expected that UK is going to get a boost both in the job market and economy.
