Major Increase Seen In UK Work Visas For Indians

The UK has seen an increase of 11 percent Visit visas adding to 427,000. Of these work visas were 53,000. This means that Indians receive additional work visas for jobs in the UK when compared to other nationals. A significant increase observed in the category of
Tier 4 student visa. Last year more than 14,000 student visas had been issued to Indians, registering 27 percent increase.
As per the figures released by the National Statistics UK Office, the High Commission stated, that the number of visas, given to Indian citizens, from September 2016 to September 2017 was 517,000.
Additionally, more than 5,000 citizens of India arrived to pursue short-term study courses in the country in the previous year. Dominic Asquith, British High Commissioner to India, said that the statistics prove that India's bridge with the UK is solid. He welcomed the boost of Indian students selecting to take benefit of the world-renowned higher education of the UK.
The
visa services meant for Indians were first-class, and 90 percent of candidates received the visa. Nearly all of them passed the stage of processing in 15 days.
He also expressed his desire that more Indians must make Britain their partners in the study, business, and work and tourism spheres.The High Commissioner added that the visits by the London Mayor as well as the Minister of Scotland showed the deep interest to work with India and extend the mutual spirit in a big way.
