Manitoba Immigration invited 157 skilled immigrant workers to appeal for a nomination from the province for Canada PR in the latest draw held on 24 October 2019.
The invitations went to applicants in the Manitoba PNP’s immigration pathways of Skilled Worker in Manitoba, International Education, and Skilled Worker Overseas.
The Manitoba PNP is part of the Canadian Provincial Program, which permits participating provinces and territories of Canada to nominate a fixed number of skilled professionals and other Economic Class immigration applicants for Canada PR each year.
Manitoba Immigration has announced 6,731 ITAs for a nomination from the province to skilled worker applicants in 2019.
The invitations, identified as Letters of Advice to Appeal (LAAs), were classified as follows:
The Manitoba PNP stated that 12 of the invitations allotted went to applicants with a profile in the system of federal Express Entry.
To be granted for a nomination from the province of Manitoba, Express Entry applicants need to have eligible work experience in Manitoba’s in-demand professions, among additional requirements and present a separate EOI to the Manitoba PNP.
This Category permits Manitoba's PNP to choose and nominate authorized immigrant workers with skills demanded in Manitoba’s labor market.
In the 24 October draw all 24 Skilled Worker Overseas applicants invited directly by a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, which includes overseas recruitment purposes directed by the MPNP.
To be recognized for a nomination, all appellants must first enroll an EOI. All EOIs are allotted a score out of 1,000 points based on Manitoba’s skilled worker points grid, which examines a candidate’s age, level of education, skilled work experience, and knowledge in English or French, and various factors.
The 24 Skilled Worker Overseas applicants invited in the 24 October draw had a minimum of 685 points EOI score.
This Category also runs on an EOI basis. Applicants in this category need to be working in Manitoba province and have a full-time, permanent employment offer from their organization, and with other criteria.
The lowest-ranked applicant invited by the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Category on 24 October draw had a minimum of 567 points EOI score.
Manitoba graduates with specific in-demand talents may be invited below this Stream.
This stream comprises three sub-categories:
