With the recent growth of transport sector and automobile industry, Sweden faces a shortage of mechanics.
"If every Swedish technical high school graduate went into the motor industry, we'd almost cover our recruitment needs,"
"But so many other industries want young guys and girls with technical skills, including manufacturing."
Companies in Sweden need around 4,800 new employees in the coming 3 years. Employers are looking for skilled trade workers mostly mechanics, technicians, panel beaters and lacquerers.
More than 80 percent of Swedish automobile workshops are looking to hire staff in coming years.
"Compared to other industries, the auto industry has a culture of investing heavily in staff development. If you finish a technical programme in high school and go straight into employment, you can count on being offered a lot of competence development in the ensuing two to three years,"
People with required skills in automobile sector can migrate to Sweden with a EU Blue Card or Sweden Work Permit. Know more about the permit schemes, mail at [email protected].
