New Guidance On Danish Visas

The Immigration Service has updated its guidance for prior approval of organizations and for long-term visas valid for multiple entries.

In a bid to strengthen Danish organizations’ business relationships with international partners, the ongoing scheme for prior approval of businesses to accept visits from international visitors who should hold a visa to enter Denmark has been expanded to include NGOs, educational institutions and other organizations.

Prior approval helps in making the application procedure more flexible with extended access to a long-term visa with validity of multiple entries and shorter processing times.

Applicants who want to visit an organization which was pre-approved will enjoy the benefits similar to the applicants covered by the Red Carpet scheme from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for business travelers.

The Immigration Service also wants to increase awareness of the existing opportunity to gain multiple-entry visas valid for a time period between 6 months and 5 years for foreign visitors who need a visa, including: the family members of EU citizens, sailors who need to travel to Denmark or some other Schengen country frequently and business people.
