Federal Canada launched a new visa program under the International Mobility Program called Mobilité Francophone to attract the foreign nationals who are proficient in French to the regions outside the Quebec Province.
This visa program grants work permit to the Francophone-certified professionals without any Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) approvals. The immigration procedures for recruiting the Francophone will be transparent and straightforward for the Canadian employers.
The Mobility Program invites the individuals to work in the Francophone minority communities outside the French populated Quebec Province of Canada.
The Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is mandatory for the employer hiring foreign national for other skilled visa programs of Canada. The LMIA checks whether an employer had made any possible attempts to recruit the Canadian for the available position. The new Mobility program exempts the Canadian employers from applying for the LMIA before hiring a foreign national.
Liberal Government formed in November 2015, introduced significant changes in immigration procedures to facilitate economic immigrants with permanent residence and encourage some highly skilled individuals to migrate to Canada.
The Canada Government wants the minority community to be vibrant and make a valuable contribution to the economy.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) plans to increase the Francophone community and make up four percent of economic immigrants by 2018.
