Nova Scotia Immigration: Focuses On UK Doctors With New Recruitment Drive

Nova Scotia PNP has sent a recruitment team to the UK in a further effort to bring qualified doctors.

Nova Scotia Immigration Office Representatives, College of Physicians and Surgeons and Nova Scotia Health Authority (N.S.H.A) Representatives are visiting the British Medical Journal Careers Fair conducting on 4 & 5th October 2019.

It will be the 3rd year Nova Scotia province’s provincial government has taken a role in the event. It comes later the Nova Scotia Nominee Program newly started second provincial stream aimed especially at hiring physicians.

The current stream of Labour Market Priorities for Physicians permits the Nova Scotia province to choose aspirants who are eligible physicians from the pool of Canadian Express Entry.

The stream especially aims at two National Occupational Classification (N.O.C) codes:

1.    Specialist Physicians (NOC 3111)

2.    Family Physicians (NOC 3112)

Applicants must have an authorized employment offer from the I.W.K Health Centre or Nova Scotia Health Authority in order to get an Interest Letter from the Nova Scotia PNP.

The recent stream complements the present Physicians stream, which is not connected to Express Entry.

Requirements for Nova Scotia's Labour Market Priorities for Physicians Stream

• Have an authorized employment offer from the I.W.K Health Centre or Nova Scotia Province Health Authority as either a Specialist Physician (N.O.C 3111) or a Family Physician (N.O.C 3112).
• Commit to work and live and in the Canadian province Nova Scotia for a least tenure of two years.
• Get an Interest Letter from the N.S.N.P through Canadian Express Entry.
• Submit your appeal in 30 days from the issuance date of the Interest Letter.
• Meet the work experience conditions of the Express Entry-connected program for which you have passed.
• Show adequate funds to settle yourself and for your family members in the Nova Scotia province.
• Have a legal status in the present residence country.
