Nova Scotia Immigration has aimed registered nurses (N.O.C 3012) in the latest draw by the provincial Express Entry associated Stream of Labour Market Priorities.

The 28 October 2019 draw observed 430 invitations announced in the initial Nova Scotia Nominee Program draw to focus on N.O.C 3012, for enrolled nurses or psychiatric nurses.

Applicants required having 3 or higher years of work experience in N.O.C 3012, and a Canada Language Benchmark of 8 or greater in English or French language, and also holds a bachelor’s degree or have finished a 3-year program to be incorporated in the draw.

Nova Scotia province also focused on NOC 3413 for nurse aides, patient service associates and orderlies by its stream of Occupations In-Demand. This stream is especially for NOC C professions, considered as intermediate skilled.

October 28 Draw Specific Requirements of the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities

  • The primary profession as an enrolled nurse or psychiatric nurse (N.O.C 3012).
  • Reference letters from companies to prove that they have 3 or higher years of work experience as an enrolled nurse or psychiatric nurse.
  • Canada Language Benchmark score of 8 or greater in English language or French language in all language skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree OR have finished a program of 3 or more years at a college, university, trade or tech school, or other institute.
  • Have provided an expression of interest to the pool of Express Entry on or after 1 Nov 2018.

It was the 7th draw in the history of the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities and the first to especially target N.O.C 3012 for enrolled nurses or psychiatric nurses.

Nova Scotia has announced interest letters to 1,576 applicants by this stream in 2019.

The stream was started in Aug 2018 to provide Nova Scotia province the adaptability to target specific occupations and applicants through the Nova Scotia Nominee Program.

Earlier, many draws have managed and aimed at financial accountants and auditors (NOC 1111), carpenters (NOC 7271), early childhood assistants and educators (NOC 4214) & at Francophone applicants.
