Nova Scotia's New Occupations In Demand Pilot Targets Intermediate Skills

Nova Scotia has revealed a latest 03-year pilot stream for immigration applicants with a qualified job offer in one of its focused intermediate-skilled professions.
The
Nova Scotia Nominee Program (N.S.N.P) stated professions focused by the latest Stream Occupation in Demand are in great labor market demand in the Nova Scotia province.
The professions are also subject to revision as labor market demands in the province develop.
The Stream Occupation in Demand is presently open to qualified applicants with a full-time permanent employment offer from a Nova Scotia organization in 02 specific professions classified as Skill Level C below the National Occupational Classification (NOC) of Canada.

NOC 3413 — orderlies, Nurses aides, and patient service associates

NOC 7511 — Transport truck drivers
Applicants should also satisfy the below requirements to be eligible:

have 01-year related work experience;

age must be between 21 to 55 years old;

must hold a high school diploma;
-
have the proper training, accreditation and/or skills for the job;

prove language proficiency equal to Canada Language Benchmark (C.L.B) Level 4 by standard language test results;

show sufficient financial resources to settle in Nova Scotia successfully.
The N.S.N.P states work experience, and skills will be tested through reference letters from companies and supporting employment documents.
Candidates accepted by the stream would obtain a nomination from the province and could then appeal for Canadian PR. The new Stream Occupation in Demand pilot gets the number of immigration pathways run by the Nova Scotia PNP to eight.
Existing Nova Scotia PNP Entrepreneur Streams Updates
The N.S.N.P also declared updates to its International Graduate Entrepreneur and
Entrepreneur streams.
Current business owners will now be qualified below the Entrepreneur Stream and can cover running expenses towards the demanded minimum investment. The ownership demands for foreign graduates looking to begin a business will shift from 100% to one third.
The move will enable for collaboration with different entrepreneurs and gives current global graduates further flexibility in gaining entrepreneurship and immigration objectives, the N.S.N.P stated in a news release.
