Oil Industry Jobs Get A Boost With Investment From Statoil Norway

Statoil Norway has signed the agreement with British firm and as per Statoil, the production will start in 2017. It is predicted that daily average production would be approx. 55,000 oil barrels.

Statoil Norway, the leading energy company in oil and gas production, concluded the negotiations for a venture with the British oil sector. According to Statoil, the production will start in 2017, with a daily average production of 55,000 barrels of oil.

 “Statoil and its partners appreciate the co-operation from the UK government and the approval of the development plan for this landmark project.”

Mariner heavy oil field project is the biggest offshore improvement in the UK since 2003. Statoil is ready to invest 7 billion dollars. The investment would create more than 700 jobs in the Aberdeen area.

Norwegian oil and gas companies are expanding their market. Most of the companies have already started their operations in UK, Canada.
