Oman Increases Visa Fee For Short Stay Visa

Travellers planning to visit Oman on a short term visa now require paying OMR20. This measure was taken by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) in - order to interchange the existing OMR5 fee. The tourists now need to procure the tourist visa for at least30 days stay at a price of OMR20, earlier a visa for 10 days could also be procured at a minimal fee of OMR5.

COO of Mazoon Travels, RiazKuttery stated “It’s good. I don’t think this will keep people from visiting the country. If you compare Oman to other countries, their visa fees are much higher. Our neighbouring countries charge OMR35 to enter.I don’t think this will hinder business,”

The modification conditions that although the time period of the visa is one month, but the tourists will be able to renew their visa for longer period of stay in Oman.

The visa shall be for Oman will be granted by the expert authority from all the authorised ports of Oman to nationals as determined by them.

Furthermore to the above the Ministry of Tourism has also announced that they have also made the visa application process for the tourists from Iran, India, China and Russia who are willing to visit Oman.
