Ontario Invites Businessmen Through The Entrepreneur Stream

Ontario immigration has conducted a draw on March 14, 2018, for its Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program’s Entrepreneur Stream. It issued 10 ITAs to the candidates, who had at least scored 135 points.

Introduction

The Ontario Entrepreneur Stream and the Ontario Corporate Stream are the two business categories managed by the Province.

This is the second draw for the year under this Stream. It was a result of the agreement on immigration signed by the federal government of the country.

In the draw, held on February 6^th, 2018, the OINP issued 13 ITAs to the candidates, who had at least scored 137 points.

Ontario Entrepreneur Stream

The steps involved in Ontario Entrepreneur Stream for seeking Canadian PR are

First Stage

• Ensuring the Satisfaction of all Criteria and prerequisites
• Completion and Submission of an Online Expression of Interest
• Issuing the Invitation to Apply
• Submission of Online Application
• Assessment of Application
• Signing an Agreement on Performance

Second Stage

• Acquiring Temporary Work Permit before Arrival
• After Arrival: 20 Months are allotted for the Establishment of Business
• Getting Nominated for Permanent Residence
• Submission of Permanent Residence Application and Three Years of Monitoring

Ontario Corporate Stream

The steps involved in Ontario Corporate Stream for seeking Canadian Permanent resident are

• Ensuring the Satisfaction of all Criteria and prerequisites of the OCS
• Submission of Online Application
• Assessment of Application
• Signing an Agreement on Performance
• Acquiring Temporary Work Permit
• Arrival and the Establishment of Business
• Getting Nominated for Permanent Residence and Submission Application
• Process of Monitoring

Summary: Canada-Ontario Immigration Agreement

Ontario will adopt the measures to make available an Annual Immigration Plan of the Province to the Federal Government, which will be considered while finalizing annual levels of Canada.

• Recognizing the role of local government to attract and retain fresh arrivals.

Conclusion

Ontario has started publication of the draw details of the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream.

So far two draws were held in 2018, and 720 candidates were sent an invitation to apply.

The OINP received the enhanced allocation for 2018 by the federal government involving 6,600 nominations, which saw an increase of 600 from the 2017 figures.

International Student Streams for Ph.D. graduates and Masters was also opened. The option of Masters met a great response and was over in hours after opening, but the Ph.D. option is open for applying.
