Ontario Receives 4.5 Percent Increase In Nomination Allocation For 2019
19 Mar 2019
Ontario province has got an entire Canadian government nomination allocation of 6,900 for the year 2019 below the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.
In those total nominations, 250 are particularly for temporary foreign workers in medium skilled professions (National Occupation Classification "C"). The number signifies a 4.5% rise on the allocation of 6,600 nominations earned by the largest province of Canada in the year 2018.
After attaining the nomination goal in Nov 2018, Ontario was given 250 additional nominations, indicating it nominated a sum of 6,850 applicants for PR in the previous year.
The Extra 250 NOC "C" category nominations issued after the Canadian government newly issued 2,000 further Provincial Nomination spaces for the workers who have intermediate-skills.
Ahmed Hussen, Immigration Minister, tells the spaces below the National Occupational Code "C" are focused on improving chances for temporary foreign workers to change to permanent residence.
The federal government considers applicants who are now in Canada on work permits, by programs covering the International Mobility Program and the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, can be immediately incorporated as permanent residents.
As the largest province of Canada, admissions by the O.I.N.P are only a part of the new permanent residents coming in Ontario every year. The province gets the huge majority of its current immigrants through federal programs.
The 6,850 nominations announced in the year 2018 represented 13,571 applicants along with family members. In total, Ontario welcomed 137,395 current permanent residents in the year 2018, as per the recent figures.
Ontario’s Express Entry Stream of Human Capital Priorities earned the maximum nominations with 2,190, with the Job Offer from an Employer: Stream of International Student bringing 1,254 and the Stream of Masters Graduate bringing 1,215 candidates.
