Ontario PNP: Issues 307 ITAs To French-Speaking Express Entry Applicants

Ontario announced invitations to apply to bilingual Express Entry applicants on 30 April 2020. The selected applicants may be qualified to immigrate to Canada by Ontario’s stream of Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker (F.S.S.W).

This is the biggest F.S.S.W draw of the year 2020 so far, with 307 Notifications of Interest (N.O.Is). The initial draw of its kind in 2020, conducted on 9 January 2020, invited 242 bilingual applicants to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR.

These invited applicants will be reached by the program. They have 45 days to apply through online mode for their nomination from the province.

Since the individuals invited in the present draw have profiles in the pool of federal Express Entry system, getting the Ontario provincial nomination would give them an extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S) points towards their cumulative CRS score.

This grant would finally ensure that they would be awarded an Invitation to Apply for Canada PR in the next federal Express Entry draw.

Federal Express Entry is an application management system for 3 federal immigration programs:

• Federal Skilled Trades Program;
• Federal Skilled Worker Program; and
• The Canadian Experience Class.

Applicants are ranked based on the human capital parameters that the government has decided would assist them to thrive in the Canadian labor market, the human capital parameters are

• Age of the applicant;
• Educational level;
• Skilled work experience; and
• English or French language ability.

For the F.S.S.W, applicants need to satisfy the eligibility conditions of the Federal Skilled Worker Program or the Canadian Experience Class and have a Canadian Language Benchmark (C.L.B) of minimum 7 in French and 6 in English among other conditions.

This is the Ontario’s 2nd Express Entry-associated draw in two days. The draw on 29 April 2020 targeted applicants in 14 skilled trades professions.
