Ontario issued invitations to 703 Express Entry applicants to apply for an Ontario provincial nomination for Canada PR on 13 May 2020.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee (O.I.N.P) Program issued invitations to applicants who had relevant work experience in one of the below six tech sector professions:
The Express Entry applicants who received invitations had the Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S) scores between 421 and 451 points. This C.R.S demand is the lowest in the program’s history; from its initial draw that held in the month of July 2019.
The applicants who were invited in the most recent Ontario PNP Tech Draw will get the Ontario provincial nomination and they will be granted an additional 600 C.R.S points toward a following federal Express Entry draw. Ontario province is just one among the nine Canadian provinces with provincial nominee programs (P.N.P) that are associated with the Federal Express Entry. The only province that doesn't have a PNP is Quebec.
Applicants, who received an invitation to apply (ITA) or Notification of Interest (NOI) from Ontario, must be qualified for the stream of Human Capital Priorities.
Ontario PNP Tech Draws are managed through the Stream of Human Capital Priorities, which permits the O.I.N.P to search the pool of federal Express Entry for applicants who match the stream’s eligibility conditions.
An employment offer is not needed in order to be eligible for the Stream of Human Capital Priorities. However, applicants need to have a profile in the pool of Federal Express Entry.
The goal of these draws is to explore specifically for qualified Express Entry applicants who have a minimum of one year of constant paid full-time relevant work experience, or the similar paid part-time relevant work, in one of the 6 tech-sector professions. In connection with the latest PNP-specific Express Entry draws, this draw has produced in even more tech workers being chosen below the PNP.
In spite of the coronavirus pandemic, few Canadian tech firms are currently recruiting, and are poised to support boosting economic recovery in Canada.
