The government of P.E.I. is planning to expand the foreign worker's number it sponsors for Canadian permanent residency as part of its total plan to manage immigration at the most significant levels seen in a decade.
A further internal review of the PEI provincial nominee program also suggests the province explore further avenues to decrease possible fraud. The conclusions of the review were posted on the PEI government official website Monday.
The review proposes an improvement in the workers number the province intends to sponsor to fulfill job openings with Island organizations to 425 in 2019, approximately twice the workers number the province sponsored in 2017.
Over that same period, the immigrant investor's number to the PEI province plans to sponsor as provincial nominees are assumed to fall significantly.
Chris Palmer, P.E.I.'s Minister of Economic Development states the shift in numbers and different program modifications would improve the rates of immigrant holding, which have been the weakest in the nation.

The province declared in the month of September it was dropping the stream of controversial entrepreneur of its PNP in the wake of 02 separate inquiries into alleged immigration scam by Border Services of Canada.
