Quebec the Canadian province has introduced considerable changes in allocating points to the applicants in its popular visa program, Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).The QSWP visa program allows the applicant to immigrate to Canada after receiving the selection certificate from the Quebec Provincial Government.
In the area of training earlier points were issued to the diplomas obtained by the applicants five years ago. Now, the significant amendment to the QSWP outdates the clause and allots the points to the diplomas regardless of the applicant’s certificate dates, meaning when they have earned the certificate is no more a significant point. Every diploma holder gains the points.
Before the amendment, applicants with degrees obtained five or more than five years ago with proven experience has earned more points in the area of training. The new modification will also give points to the applicants who have obtained diplomas before the submission of application.
Canadian Immigration laws would no longer allow change of principal applicant and spouse. According to the new amendments only single candidate will remain as principal applicant until the completion of the review process by Canadian Immigration.
In the earlier process to benefit the candidates an arrangement of switching was given to the principal applicant. These new amendments to the Quebec QSWP are effective from 31 December 2015.
