Quebec has achieved a huge success in figures related to the Canada jobs. The recent Statistics Canada Labor Force Survey proves this fact. The unemployment was reduced to 5.4 percent in the province and it was second only to British Columbia for the low unemployment. The unemployment figures did not change across Canada and were standing at 5.8 percent at April end. The number of employed people was steady in the month.

Canada Jobs – a look at the Industries
Here professional, scientific and technical services added 21,000 jobs. In comparison to the last year, this sector has added 34,000 jobs.
Also in the Accommodation and food services the increase was 17,000 jobs, and the yearly gain was 44,000.
There was little change in the public and private sectors in the month. The public sectors added, 75,000 jobs and the private sector added 146,000 jobs. Even in the Self-employment sector the increase was 58,000 or 2.1 percent, in comparison to the last year.
