Quebec Suspends Skilled Immigration, Will Start QSWP In The Month Of June

Quebec Immigration has temporarily suspended the QSWP Program which allows the applicants to create an online account in the management system Mon projet Quebec and submits an application for Canada Permanent residency. The online system was expected to start accepting the applications from February 16. Due to service issues the Quebec immigration has delayed the program; to give the better service experience to the potential immigrants, Quebec will begin accepting applications from June 13.

New dates for Accepting applications

•  All the potential immigrants who have created the online accounts can submit the applications between June 13 and June 20.
•  During this intake, Quebec will accept 5000 applications.

Quebec Immigration ministry is planning to introduce a responsive management system in similar lines of Canada Express Entry Scheme. The department is concerned about the ongoing failure of the important online management system.

The first come first serves the procedure applicable for June intake. But, by the next intake, Quebec will introduce a system of expression of interest. Quebec province of Canada will not participate in the Canada Express Entry Scheme; it has separate language requirements and expects applicants to be proficient in French.
