UK government is revising the "Life in the U.K." handbook and the Citizenship test taken by immigrants to become British citizens or to settle in UK permanently.

The previous test included questions about daily life in the country and various practical questions that would be essential to lead a life in UK. The new test puts emphasis on British history and culture.

UK Citizenship test would have questions on sports, music and historical figures from William Shakespeare to Winston Churchill.

The handbook which was released by UKBA advices migrants to learn and acquire knowledge on potted history of Britain from the Stone Age to the present day.
