Rise In Number Of Immigrants Flocking To Us Under EB-5 Program

The United States has hit the headlines yet another time for all good reasons. According to the latest report, the total number of legal immigrants arriving to the US has augmented almost 700%.

Sources said that since the president Obama took office, prosperous overseas individuals have taken the benefit of visa program.

According to the previous reports, 628 overseas nationals arrive to the United States under the EB-5 program, and in 2014, the number has hiked to 5,115.

The total count of overseas nationals applying for USA EB-5 visa has also increased highly from 853 to 12,453 on 2014.

Overseas nationals are issued with a green card if they could invest at least $1 million in the U.S., under the EB-5 program. The required amount of investment has dropped to $500,000 in the areas with high unemployment rate and rural areas. In both the cases, the investment should generate a minimum of 10 jobs.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), is recruiting 1,000 workers and has signed a lease on building exterior of Washington, D.C., to perform Obama's directive.

Sources said that the EB-5 program is thriving as it boosts the United States economy.
