Saskatchewan Draw Invites 479 Candidates Having Specific Work Experience

Saskatchewan held a new draw attracting the International Skilled Workers on June 20. As a result it invited 479 immigration candidates who possessed the necessary work experience from among five target occupations.

This Worker category is an integral part of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program, which permits the province in nominating overseas workers to seek the Canada PR.

The invited candidates belonged to the provincial Express Entry as well as Occupation In-Demand sub-categories which need work experience in the occupations listed in top demand category of the province.

Candidates in these five occupations were the target of this draw:

• Accounting Technicians
• Architectural Technicians/Technologists
• Paramedical Occupations
• Bakers
• Medical Laboratory Technologists

268 invitations were for the candidates having the profile in the federal Express Entry who registered the profile with the Saskatchewan Program. 211 invitations were for the immigration candidates belonging to the Occupation In-Demand sub category.

The first necessary step to get the consideration for nomination in the province in both sub-categories is registering an Expression of Interest, with the province.

The stages to apply

Moreover, the Express Entry candidates require creating a separate E.O.I. This contains the details of the work experience, language proficiency and education of a candidate besides other factors. It gives a score from 100 points on the basis and contents of information.

The candidates with the top scores in both the pools get the invitation and can apply to seek the Saskatchewan nomination in standard draws. The lowest score in both sub-categories for this draw was 68.

Saskatchewan has presently issued 1,166 invitations to Express Entry candidates in this year. The share of Occupation In-Demand candidates is 1,407.

It is a fact that the Express Entry candidates, receiving the Saskatchewan provincial nomination, get 600 extra points in C.R.S. score. They are also quick to get the invitation to apply, and also gain the PR in Canada.
