Saskatchewan Issues Invitations to approximately 1,000 Express Entry applicants with special work experience to appeal for a nomination from the province for Canada PR in the province’s biggest-ever Expression of Interest draw.
The 986 invitations provided to candidates in the Canadian Express Entry system who had enrolled with a separate profile in the Program Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee (S.I.N.P).
The S.I.N.P enables Saskatchewan PNP to nominate immigration applicants with skills needed in the province’s labor market.
The 986 ITAs were the most announced in a single draw by the SINP’s Expression of Interest (E.O.I) system, which was launched in July 2018 to maintain the pool of applicants for the Saskatchewan’s Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry immigration pathways.
The Saskatchewan PNP’s Express Entry pathway is associated with the Canadian Express Entry system, which drives the pool of applicants for 3 Canadian principal economic immigration classes
Express Entry applicants are not expected to have a job offer from an employer in Saskatchewan to be eligible for a nomination from Saskatchewan PNP. However, work experience in a suitable occupation that is associated with their area of study is necessary, along with other conditions.
The 17 October draw announced invitations to Express Entry applicants with work experience in the below 12 professions. “NOC” means the code of National Occupational Classification.
Express Entry applicants invited in the S.I.N.P’s 17 October draw had a minimum score of 67 points beneath the Saskatchewan PNP’s EOI points grid.
This score depends on several parameters that include age, valid work experience, education, proficiency in the languages English or French and links to Saskatchewan, along with others.
The Saskatchewan PNP states a candidate’s EOI score and profession are the “top parameters” when deciding to whom it invites to appeal for a nomination from Saskatchewan province.
Greater than 200 professions are now qualified for consideration below the SINP’s Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories.
