Saskatchewan PNP: Issues 646 ITAs To Applicants In Two Sub-Categories

Saskatchewan PNP invited immigration applicants to apply for a Saskatchewan’s provincial nomination for Canada PR on 13 February 2020. The Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program (SINP) sent out a sum of 646 invitations to apply to applicants in the Saskatchewan Express Entry and Saskatchewan Occupations In-Demand streams.

To be selected, applicants needed to have presented an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile to the SINP. Through the E.O.I system, the S.I.N.P issues invitations to immigration applicants that have the capability to thrive in the province to apply for a Saskatchewan’s provincial nomination for Canada PR.

Enthusiastic candidates require to create an E.O.I profile and prove their ability to settle in Saskatchewan province by listing their skilled relevant work experience, age, educational level, language proficiency, and connections to the Saskatchewan province.

The S.I.N.P uses these 5 factors to evaluate applicants and provide them with a score out of 100 points in the Global Skilled Worker Points Evaluation Grid.

The best scorers are then invited to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination for Canada PR. The minimum required score in the 13 February 2020 draws was 70 for both sub-categories. No offer OF A job is required to receive an invitation from the Saskatchewan province. However, applicants needed a minimum of one year of work experience in a qualified skilled profession related to their area of study.

Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-category

In the most recent invitation round, Saskatchewan PNP issued 277 ITAs to candidates who had their profiles in the pool of federal Express Entry.

Saskatchewan’s Express Entry sub-category is connected to the Canadian Express Entry system, which controls the pool of candidates for 3 of Canadian principal economic-class immigration programs:

• Federal Skilled Trades Class;
• Canadian Experience Class; and
• Federal Skilled Worker Class.

If contestants in the Express Entry pool also filled out an E.O.I for Saskatchewan and they secured 70 points score on the SINP’s Points Evaluation Grid then they may have been selected on 13 February 2020 draw.

Saskatchewan Occupations in-Demand Sub-Category

This sub-category is open to immigration applicants who don't have a profile in the Canadian Express Entry.

There were 369 candidates invited in this Sub-category to apply for a Saskatchewan’s provincial nomination, and similar to the Express Entry sub-category, applicants required a provincial score of 70 points to be chosen.

The 13 February 2020 draw announced invitations to applicants in 107 professions including managers, HR professionals, and financial sales executives, among others.
