As per the findings of UN annual Human Development index Australia has been rated as the second best place to live in the world. First being Norway – best quality of life and third being New Zealand.
New Zealand has taken a leap of 17 places at the UN index that measures development of nations.
On 5thNovember, the report has been released which was based on factors including health, education, income, gender equality as well as political freedom. Oil rich nation Norway has been listing for all the years except for 2 yrs since 2001.
A total of 169 nations come in the list and are grouped under four different categories including low, medium, high and very high.
Australia has been holding the second position in the HDI for a number of years. Australia is known for its growing economy, quality of life and relaxed lifestyle all of which combine together to encourage more and more skilled immigrants to live and work in Australia.
Life expectancy of Australia has increased to 70 years from 59 years and the per capita income has grown two times to reach $10,000.
