SSVF; Simplified Student Visa Framework is introduced in Australia reducing the subclasses. After the reduction the number of subclasses has gone down to two from eight, which brings it down to one student visa and one student guardian visa. Also, there is a single immigration risk framework for all the international students.
The first assistant Secretary of The Department of Immigration And Border Protection, and Immigration and Citizenship Policy Division, David Wilden said that student visa settings are an important part of Australia’s international education strategy.
Wilden mentioned, “The value of our international education sector, Australia’s third largest export industry and our largest services export, was estimated to exceed $19 billion in 2014/2015 and the recently released National Strategy for International Education acknowledges the Department’s role in supporting international mobility through administration of the student visa program.”
It is explained that the SSVF will broaden the fairer framework and will increase the intake of educational international sector. Australia’s biggest export assets are the students in the international export sector. Under SSVF students will not be subjected to the complex processes. Instead students shall apply online for a single subclass and get assessed under the single immigration frame work.
The single subclass of every student visa will be Subclass 500 and for student guardian will be Subclass 590. The online tool for the students will help them determine their requirements. The SSVF will support the sustainable growth of the Australian International education sector by making it simpler for students to apply from the place where they are residing. Visa regulation has also been reduced from 145 pages to 8 pages.
