South Africa on Wednesday have asked India to consider granting business visa with multiple entries for 10 years on the reciprocal basis as it is keen to promote tourism and business ties.
During the meeting with Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Malusi NKanyezi made the above proposal. He said, this nation is interested in reaching e-Tourist visa as well as Visa facilitation agreement as it will help in strengthening the business as well as tourism ties.
He told Singh, I would recommend business Visa with multiple entry for a period of 10 years on the basis of reciprocity. The Gigaba has told Singh that South Africa has taken steps to check visas being obtained with false document and is also working to improve the domestic security environment.
Singh on his part have said that, there is great potential to improve trade as well as tourism, given the two nation’s mutual interest, while also underscoring the importance of immigration and visa in any meaningful co-operative efforts.
There have been friendly ties with both nations and it has enhanced co-operation in diverse areas, which includes both commercial and economic relations. Singh has told the South African Minister that India is committed to have meaningful co-operation between both nations so that challenges can be adequately addressed.
The union Minister has added that India adopts a holistic approach in order to ensure zero tolerance towards terrorism and it is committed to fight against extremism and terrorism so that perpetrators of terrorist acts, mastermind behind them as well as conspirators are brought to justice.
Singh believes that both nations can build a stronger as well as effective partnership for the safety as well as prosperity of their communities and for global peace. He also acknowledged that South Africa is important partner historically, politically, culturally and commercially.
