Study: Austria Moves Up The IT Location Ranks

Austria has caught up as an IT business location and is now in 17th place in the global rankings, improving from its previous 22nd place ranking. This was the conclusion of a study carried out by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) which was contracted by Business Software Alliance (BSA). Progress made in research and development made a significant contribution to Austria’s improved position. As a result, Austria moved ahead of countries such as South Korea and Hong Kong. The top nation in the global rankings is the USA, followed by Finland and Singapore. Germany placed 15th, just ahead of Japan.
