Sweden Government Making Education Compulsory For Immigrant Kids

Swedish government wants to make sure that young immigrants continue their studies by legally requiring them to attend school until they reach 18 years of age.

Immigrant children above 12 years of age, when come to Sweden have to continue their studies until 18. Government has proposed 30 million kronor ($4.7 million) budget per year to add 3 more hours of Swedish-language instruction per week for the first four terms that the children are enrolled in school.

Swedish welcomes foreign skilled professionals to come and work in the country with a EU Blue Card or a Work Permit.

Masters degree education along with work experience is required for migration to Sweden.
