‘457 Temporary Skilled Workers Visa’ bearers residing in South Australia with children will now face some new rules that are going to be enforced from January 2017.
Acting swiftly, the founder of a popular Australian consultancy has begun inviting people to contact them regarding how the new rules will affect the visa holders. Especially people who are planning to migrate to Australia on a 457 Visa, or if they hold such a visa and already live in South Australia.
The change in visa 457 will bring South Australia on par with other Australian states. January 2017 onwards, new 457 visa holders will be required to contribute to education costs of government schools if their children opt to study in those schools. This requirement will be forwarded to all the ‘457 Visa’ holders from 2018.
According to family circumstances, payment will be done when a child or any young candidate is admitted into a government school. It is being decided that people who remain on the 457 visa will continue paying the amount on a regular basis. But the people who will become permanent residents will have the advantage of not paying the amount to the government.
