Whether an ice cream expert, a fan of open-air techno or simply partial to bathing in the nip, the chances are a German summer will provide you with the chance to shine. This week's Local List runs through 10 Teutonic perks of the season.

After a gruelling six-month winter, Germans are more than ready for a little summertime fun. As the barbecues come out, the clothes come off and the beer goes in.
