The new amendments will also comprise of collecting of biometric fingerprints from visa waiver travelers and also to expand the usage of pre-clearance program. Apart from this the DHS has also planned to ask additional powers to congress on increasing of fines for air carriers those fail to confirm passport data as well as the ability to suggest travelers on a usage of passports with fixed security chips.
As there is a significantly higher flow of overseas fighters into the nation, the White House has urged the Congress to pass the required legislation at the earliest.
The House Majority Leader, McCarthy recently noted in a statement that their lawmakers were keen about involving all nations in the waiver program to grant “e-passports” with biometrics and chips.
One of the major change that they have planned to make visa-free visit rules is that all passengers will be well screened against the database of stolen and lost passports.
