Applying to French University and visas

Students from EU or European Economic Area won’t need a France Student visa where as other students are required to have study visa.

During your first year of studies, you have to show your France Student visa as a proof of your French residency status. Still you need to register with the France immigration office within 30 days of arrival and undergo a medical examination for visa validation. Foreign students have to apply for Carte de Séjour from 2^nd year of studies

Higher Education System of France

The French degrees are standardised into Licence, Master and Doctorate levels, which correspond to Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees.

Most of the French higher educational institutions are state-funded. The nominal tuition fee would cost around 200€-400€ per year, depending on the level of studies.
